My son loves to help in the kitchen and has decided he wants to start making his own lunch once a week. I think that is FANTASTIC!! What a fun way to ingrain healthy choices and eating habits in him! This was his first "Made By Me" lunch, and he was so excited about it!
We started by talking about how to build a balanced meal. I pulled out a variety of foods and allowed him to choose what he wanted to include using the information we had discussed. He chose what to pack and made the lunch entirely by himself. He ate most of it at lunch and was excited to have a little leftover for his snack later in the afternoon.
