Mickey and Minnie Bentos

Our family is taking a vacation to Disney World later this year and couldn't be more excited.  This will be Super Tot's first time to experience the magic of Disney, and we are having a lot of fun preparing him for the excitement.  The two things he is most excited about are finding Hidden Mickeys and riding Test Track.

Princess has been to Disney World before, but she is thrilled that she is finally tall enough to ride everything at the parks.  She is most excited about the rides, especially Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster.

I made this lunch last week after the kids began Disney themed school projects.  I was sure to include a few Hidden Mickeys for Super Tot!

Didn't Make the Cut Blog Hop

Bento & Co. had their annual bento contest earlier this month, and the theme was "pasta."  I planned on entering, but realized about 30 minutes before the cutoff that I had dropped the ball and hadn't made a bento for it yet.  I decided to go ahead and enter this one from back at Easter time.

Several of my bento blogger friends also entered, but sadly, none of us made the top 20.  There were hundreds of entries, so I can imagine how difficult it must have been to choose the finalists.  You can see those that made the cut here.

My friends and I decided it would be fun to do a Blog Hop of our bentos that didn't make the cut.  I think they are all fabulous!  Come take a look.

Now, click the button below to hop on over to see Eclectic Lamb's bento.  Then, follow the hop until you end up back here!

15 Minute Friday #6

Welcome to "15 Minute Fridays" - Week 6!
My fellow bento bloggers and I often receive inquiries regarding the amount of time it takes to make the bentos we post on our blogs.  Bentos don't have to take much more time to pack than a standard lunch!

Thank you to everyone who linked up last week.  I was so excited to see so many beautiful and fast lunch ideas!

Do you have a cute, easy bento that can be made in 15 minutes or less?  If so, feel free to join in!  It's simple!!  Copy the URL of your blog post (not your home page) and enter it into the linky below.  Click on the "Add Your Link" button to add yours and follow the steps.

It isn't necessary for your blog post to show a timer, but feel free to include that if you would like.
I would love for you to include a link back to my blog!

Koi Bento & "Blogiversary" Linky Pary!

One of the first bentos I ever saw was this one of a Koi.  I was immediately intrigued and have kept that image in my head ever since.  Although I began making bento several months beforehand, this weekend marked the one year anniversary of my bento blog.  I thought it would be appropriate to make a bento honoring that first one I saw.
What's in the Box?
Koi and Water - Rice Paper Covered Rice w/ Icing Eyes
Lettuce, Tri-Color Carrots, Cucumber, Broccoli, Tomatoes
Mini-Apple, Strawberry, Kumquat
Chicken Fajita Meat & Black Olives

Now, let's PARTY!!!
Link up your favorite bento(s) that you have made.  I would love for you to include a link back to my blog somewhere on yours.  Please share some love and visit a few other blogs that have linked up, too!
