Brave Merida Bento

THIS POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS
As soon as I saw these crinkle cut sweet potatoes, I knew I wanted to make a Merida bento.  I baked the potatoes with a touch of olive oil and sea salt on 475 degrees for 20 minutes (flipping them at the 10 minute mark), making delicious and beautiful sweet potato fries.  I love how they look as Merida's hair!  I used black olives, provolone and nori for the bears and hand-made the bow and arrow out of flat toothpicks and washi tape.
 What's in the Box?
Baked Sweet Potato Fries, Steamed Rice (colored with carrot juice)
Provolone & Nori accents
Butter Lettuce, Grape Tomatoes, Baby Cucumber, Snap Peas, Bell Peppers
Black Olives w/ Provolone & Nori accents
Raw Corn, Black Olives
Strawberries, Blackberries & Blueberries

Catching Fire Lunch

THIS POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS
I am happy to be sharing this bento with you today, as I was sick for over a week and am finally well.  I assure you my children were eating during that time, just not bentos and certainly nothing worthy of a blog post.

One thing I did accomplish while I was sick was pre-ordering tickets to see Catching Fire opening weekend.  My daughter was so excited, so I wanted to make her a Mockingjay lunch today.  I cheated a bit and used a cupcake topper, but she still enjoyed it!
